History

Founded in 2007, the team began as the endurance multisport connection (emc Team), a training and racing group of 17 athletes. With the support of title sponsor Links for Life, and partners like Pegasus Bicycle Works and Hammer Nutrition, the team quickly gained momentum, uniting women with a shared passion for multisport disciplines.

In 2008, we embarked on a bold initiative to host the inaugural Cruella Challenge, which was a century road bike ride with 8,000 feet of elevation through the East Bay. This event became the hallmark of our commitment to giving back and raising significant funds for Girls on the Run (GOTR) and Save Mount Diablo. The Cruella Challenge set the stage for our future endeavors, showcasing the power of community engagement.

In 2010, we embraced a new identity as Diablo Multisport Connection Team (dmc Team) and formalized our commitment to community service and athletic excellence by establishing Wicked Events, our charitable arm. With the Cruella Challenge as a catalyst, we raised over $96,000 for local beneficiaries, cementing our reputation as athletes who care deeply about our community.

Through the years, dmc Team has faced challenges with resilience. From supporting wildfire recovery efforts to adapting to the COVID pandemic, our commitment to our mission has never wavered. We continue to find new ways to engage, support, and inspire our members and community.
